Carrie A. Powers, LICSW

Hello and welcome to my practice.

It is often difficult to deal with the emotional challenges of life in an healthy way. Whether you might be suffering from depression, anxiety, coping with loss, or adjusting to a new phase of your life, it can be helpful to seek professional support. In my practice, I strive to provide a warm, supportive environment in which to explore challenges and work collaboratively to identify strengths, develop healthy coping skills, improve insight, and support the change you desire.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience working with individuals (adults and adolescents), families, and groups in Central MA. I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Regis College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Springfield College. I have many years of experience working in community mental health as well as early intervention services, and medical social work. I have done continuing education in the areas of Infant/Parent Mental Health, Parenting, and Dielectical Behavioral Therapy. Areas of experience include depression, anxiety, HIV/ Aids, PTSD, Schizophrenia, pregnancy/ postpartum, parenting, grief, coping with chronic illness, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, weight loss and bariatric surgery (preparation and adjustment) and more.

I also have a vast knowledge of community resources and often assist clients in identifying other opportunities for support if needed.
